The first USA Petzl Roc Trip was held in Bishop, California over the weekend (30th Nov). Over 500 climbers enjoyed a Chris Sharma presentation, a great day of bouldering at the Buttermilk and a party and slide show by the clown prince of American climbing, Tim O'Neill. US$8000 was raised at this first-of-its-kind bouldering benefit by the assembled climbers, donated by Petzl to the Access Fund.

Climbers came from all over the USA for the event. World-class climbers from Spain, France, Italy and the USA represented Petzl, including Chris Sharma, David Graham, Mauro Calibani, Tony Lamiche, Pedro Pons, Josune and Ricardo Bereziartu, Lisa Rands, Tori Allen and many others.

Hern Crane of the United States Forest Service, who supervised the event said that, "Everything went off without a hitch and everyone did as they were asked. There were no problems."
