The winner in the womens comp was Shauna Coxsey who held off a strong challenge from Alex Puccio from the USA. Shauna proved too strong though and gave a excellent performance completing all the problems, including the only ascent of problem 4 and on-sighting it too! In the mens comp, Dave Barrans and Guillame Glarion-Modet fought it out problem by problem until the final one which repelled them both from the final hold, meaning Dave was the winner by virtue of only having 5 attempts for his 3 completed problems. The team comp was won by the Beastmaker team of Chris Webb Parsons, Michele Caminati, Ned Fehally and Shauna Coxsey.
Here's a video of Alex and Shauna topping out problem 3 (they were the only two to make it)
The CWIF Qualifier day had 300+ competitors tackling 30 problems. One competitor described the problems as "hideously technical" but the organisers were delighted with scores strung out from nil to nearly maximum and every problem was completed by someone.
