8b in a day for Hazel Findlay

Top British climber Hazel Findlay (follow her Facebook Athlete Page) has redpointed another 8b, this time needing just four attempts to successfully climb the route.

Ramadan, the 8b in question, is at Siurana in Spain and Hazel told UKC:

"It's a bouldery 8b, the sort where once you do the move then you just have to hold it together on not that hard climbing, and I was really psyched and it was really cold so I kept trying it..."

Hazel has been having a productive sport climbing trip in Catalunya, onsighting several 8as and getting fit for the coming year.

Previously Hazel has climbed other 8bs such as Le Chirurgien de Crepuscule at Ceuse, France and Les Chacals at Pared de la Virgen, Rodellar, Spain, but she is perhaps best known for her trad climbing and big wall free climbing.

Last year Hazel free climbed the extremely difficult Pre-Muir on El Capitan, and the year before, for her first ever big wall, Hazel free climbed Golden Gate, also on El Cap.
