Carlo Traversi has made the first ascent of The Kingdom, ~8C, just left of Vecchio Leone, at Brione.
The difficulty of the problem is only 5 or 6 moves then a 6 move 7A to the top.
This problem perfectly suits my style and could be the hardest 5 moves that I've ever linked together. Subtle, tense, and powerful climbing on perfect rock.
Carlo started trying the project with Fred Nicole and Bernd Zangerl at the beginning of his Switzerland trip, and as he puts it they confirmed that it's difficult at least.
After his repeat of The Story of two worlds, ~8C, all focus was on the new project. Unfortunately though, the weather didn't cooperate and it just kept being wet as time was quickly running out...
A few days ago, he told me ...all I need is one try, the moves are figured out, I've done it in 2 pieces very easily., but it was still wet...
Then, on the last day, it was finally dry enough and Carlo kept to his promise and executed!
