Hazel Findlay has become the first British woman to climb 8c with an ascent of Fish Eye at Oliana, Spain.

Hazel commented on her facebook page:

"Yey! I did Fish Eye, 8c! It felt so hard a week ago and today it felt very easy. The fun of red pointing!"

Fish Eye is a long endurance limestone sport route on the central section of the huge, steep barrel of limestone that is Oliana. Oliana is packed full of desperate routes including La Dura Dura (9b+) - one of the hardest routes in the world.

Well done Hazel!

More info to come on UKC soon...
