The famous mountain crag of Cloggy (Clogwyn D'ur Arddu) could be up for sale along with up to 250 hectares (600 acres) of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) according to a report on the BBC News website. Snowdon is one of the busiest mountains in the UK and Cloggy is a crag both historically important and popular, with classic routes from VS to E9.

The land is owned by farmer Dafydd Morris, who explains his descision to sell on the BBC News website:

"The reason is that a lot of people are not happy with how the farmers are farming the hills. They are complaining about the wildlife and the vegetation and everything.

I don't mind at all if nobody wants it but I'm going to give them a chance and hopefully they will understand what it is like"

The area that is up for sale includes Cwm Arddu and contains the mountain crag Cloggy.

At present Snowdon ownership is split between the National Trust, the National Park Authority and a private trust.
