The BMC have launched a 'Climbing Huts Information Project'... or 'CHIPs' to address the issues of climbers and walkers contributing to the local economy of North Wales. An information pack will be put together, with details of local services and this will be displayed in climbing huts. Local businesses are supporting this help in additional marketing for their shops, cafes etc. The project is being supported supported by funding from Adfywio, the National Trust, and the recently established Access and Conservation Trust. If it is successful, it may be extended to other areas of the country.
