If successful some members of the team will then make a wingsuit descent of the route.
This expedition is being filmed by Alastair Lee of Posing Productions and has been christened, The Asgard Project.
Throughout the summer the team did a number of training exercises in Italy, Spain and the USA to get fit for Asgard and you can view three clips below.
