The 2014 Scottish Youth Climbing Championships took place at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho on Saturday 20th September. This annual championship event for Lead, Top-rope and Speed attracted over 70 competitors competing in 6 age categories, with a record number of entries in the Speed event.

Due to the Open status of the competition, young climbers from as far as South Wales and the Midlands travelled to Ratho to compete in the event. Along with the Scottish Youth Bouldering Championships - which took place at TCA Glasgow on 5th April this year - the SYCC proved to be a very successful event which showcased the UK's up and coming competition talent.
