Climb with global climbing legend Chris Sharma at the TENZING Climbing Festival, taking place at HarroWall on 11th-12th May.

The climbing superstar, one of the all-time greats of the sport, is headlining an epic celebration of all things climbing at the TENZING Climbing Festival, taking place across two days at London's largest bouldering centre.

Workshop Bonanza – Saturday 11th

On Saturday 11th, rub shoulders with climbing's finest athletes and learn from them throughout the day with a jam-packed schedule of wonderful workshops, hosted by top athletes (including Chris Sharma!). Then put what you've learned into practice and tackle a series of climbing challenges designed to test you to your limit. 

Explore the bustling festival village with deals and offerings from tons of independent brands from the climbing world. Once you've topped everything you can, grab some food and a drink and settle down for jaw-dropping screenings and fascinating talks on the world of climbing. 

The talks finish up with an exclusive presentation and Q&A from none other than Chris Sharma, one of the most accomplished and trailblazing climbing stars of all time.

TENZING Extravaganza – Sunday 12th

The fun starts again on Sunday 12th for the ultimate team-based climbing competition, the TENZING Extravaganza!

We've decided to take an innovative approach to climbing competitions with this one and enlisted the help of ex-GB climber and Youtuber Louis Parkinson and Team TENZING to create a new, exhilarating competition to watch and be involved in. With participating teams representing their favourite climbing wall, the event's final will be crowning the UK's most talented wall. Expect the nail-biting tension of a climbing final, with inspiration from the world of ninja warrior competitions…

Finally, round off an epic weekend with a thumpin' afterparty in the centre, dancing the night away amongst our climbing walls.

Chris Sharma

Chris Sharma is one of the greatest and most influential rock climbers of all time, distinguished by his preternatural ability and visionary first ascents. He set the standard for world class climbing while pushing the sport forward via new disciplines. 

Sharma was at the very top of climbing from the late 90s through to present day, and is an icon for his trail-blazing lead climbing ascents and deep water solo projects, footage of which inspired climbers around the globe to push harder and higher.

Today, Chris owns several climbing gyms in both California and Spain. He also developed the first ever climbing competition series on film, a television show debuting on HBO in 2023, The Climb, with his childhood friend Jason Mamoa.

TENZING Climbing Festival is an exclusive London appearance for Chris, and is going to be a huge draw for climbers around the UK.

TENZING Climbing Festival

The TENZING Climbing Festival 2024 (formerly the London Climbing Festival) is the fourth iteration of LCC's annual celebration of all things climbing.

Founded in 2020 with headliner Lynn Hill, the event focuses on participation, celebration, and education, over traditional climbing comps and events.

The cornerstone of the event are the workshops, giving ticketholders the chance to learn directly from climbers and other athletes. Screenings, talks, and a bustling festival village, alongside plenty of challenge blocs and climbs throughout London's largest bouldering centre help keep everyone entertained throughout the day.

The Sunday competition is the chance to put everything into practice, but this year we're stepping things up with a dynamic, fast-paced competition format centred around teams, rather than the individual.
