Been talking to the land owner about climbing in the quarry area of the Craigs of Kyle, looks like some nice crack climbing.

It has been climbed on a long time ago by Kyle MC members (Davie Sproat for one), a bit loose and not worth the bother was the verdict.

Yep, the quarry is horribly loose. You could pull rock off until the cows come home and still not find anything secure to pull on. Forget it, you'll just hurt yourself.

we put up a top rope and cleaned off the worst of the loose rock on the second crack from left, was really hard climbing! but there is possibility there just needs some love.

Went there for a look last week, it's a total bog/midge fest. Not worth it at the moment.
