Where is the line in this photo please? Is it the icy smear just left of the black patch, or further left up to the notch on the horizon? And where did you walk from? Great effort by the way, I've wanted to climb that route ever since I saw the photo in an old 'gorms guide. Doug

It is the ice smear just left of the black rock and left of the hanging icicles. We cycled up Glen Einich. This is infinitely preferable to walking through the Chalamain Gap.

It was actually pretty thin and cruddy. Easy climbing with poor gear. Don't know aboy that black bit.
