Might be better with more of the foreground cropped out so the focus is more on the hills in the background?

Try it with a piece of paper ~ you may find the image then lacks the boulders which anchor the shot, and which also provide context (or visual clues) to the scene. The dramatic light illuminating the foreground would also be lost, as would the mood and colour in the mountains which contrasts so strongly with the foreground. Without the foreground, the image may lack balance, which of course is a pre-requisite to a great shot. I'm not a fan of cropping in post production anyway!
