Enlighten me ! Is that the Chamonix Valley ?

I think so, at least I presumed it was as you did. Took it from a plane on the way to Spain.

I don't think it is the Chamonix valley - lack of large glaciers, the peaks don't look big enough, valley too narrow, and I don't recognise any of the peaks. I'm not sure where it is though! Nice shot all the same!

Also, lack of major large town, with heavy pollution!
