Brian, I don't know when Fred's brother Ken took it. Fred started climbing in his early forties with Bill Wayman, in about 1980ish. I've climbed lots with him. A couple of our best climbs together were Right Wall and The Cad. He's still climbing now, but I haven't seen him for ages. He sends a Christmas card every year...

I see Fred and Ken climbing on sundays at Redpoint climbing centre,Birmingham. they're both climbing and look in good shape.
