Grotty perhaps, but with probably the highest concentration of world class problems anywhere. And on the contrary, i'd say that marie rose is remarkably unpolished after 50 years of continuous attention - the only polished bits are the slopey footrail (i.e RF in photo, which you can still use fine) and the RH foot crimp (which is so positive it hardly matters).

Overrated and lacking in any distinction (the problem not the photo/climber).
