Did you leave your boots at the bottom?

Indeed we did. Descent was quicker than expected as the bolts had only just been installed on the SW ridge - piles of rock dust under them!
Turned into a very long day as we missed the last cable car so I had to walk all the way to the campsite several miles below Grindelwald. Meanwhile Geoff was being accosted by a very nice gentleman from Berne who wanted to get to know him more closely .... not what we wanted after 22 hrs of flogging! (or at any time I must add!)
