This axe started life as a 1940s Swiss mountain troops model (from Stubai). Heavily restored and modified to make it more suitable for one-handed cutting, the finished axe has a better balance than the original and different types of pick and adze.

Thanks =) Yes, the adze has been cut across almost square to reduce its weight. It's still a scalloped shape of course, but now has a different profile--and is actually sharp!
