Col Moore has a strange reflected light. I guess a reasonably unique photo, given the time of day.

I think a combination of the extreme contrast and photoshops "auto levels" adjustment! About 8am, as I recall. Not sure why it took 14 hrs to get to Montenvers from here, although there was a bit of impromptu guiding of a french party lost in the crevasses at the junction of the leschaux and mer de glace. Funny at the time and it still amuses me - "les crampons - sur les pieds!, with much gesticulating. You probably had to be there....
