"Frequently photographed." Quite possibly, but doesn't make it any less good. One slight thing. The blacks look ever so slightly washed out to me, certainly compared with your other mono stuff. Just a thought - lovely shot.

Thanks Southren man...yer absolutely correct. I think you have to gauge what you can and cannot do for every individual image you process. For me this one it didnt look/feel right to go for the deep darks as the contrast in the scene was naturally low due to the low but very strong light...their was a natural light haze were you wouldnt find deep dark....i didnt want, or feel i had to stray too far from reality in this one.

Beautiful image, lovely tonality and composition. Great lighting too. I like the way so much of the image is either dark or grey and indistinct, contrasting with the sharp peaks and nice detail in the foreground.
On this screen it looks as though you may have applied a little too much sharpening as some of the edges look slightly haloed, but that could be my imagination or the compression on UKC.

Thanks Oujmik...re sharpening, hard to say low res compressed jpeg file, calibrated/non calibrated monitors, mobile devices etc etc...i think with images posted to the net, you never get the finished article just a rough idea. Thanks for comments

Sometimes mono is superior to colour in capturing atmosphere and lighting. This is a great example. Excellent image!
