That must have been a pretty special place for a bivi, the NE Ridge is still one of the best days out I've had in Scotland.

It was lovely James, plus the cycle and walk in from Choire Choille Farm through the forests and the wild valley of Coire an Eoin, made for an adventurous and hugely satisfying two days.

Looks fantastic, Jamie. I'd been determined to visit the east of the Aonoch's via Stob an Chul-Choire for some time. Finally managed to do so last summer. We walked in from the Ski Centre, a long and some times very boggy approach. Coire an Eoin was magical, however, by the time we attained the ridge the weather had closed in so the rest of the day was in cloud!
Looking at the map, your approach looks a lot more direct from Choire Choille Farm.

Yep, you can cycle to the dam which leaves a beautiful approach following the meandering river all the way to the foot of Aonach Beag's East Face. Definitely one of the wilder and more remote parts of Lochaber.
