A couple of Fell ponies grazing the quarry floor as part of the conservation management of the reserve. They are friendly enough but please keep your dog under control (and be careful where you step!).

Yes, it's true, Al. They work for hours and hours without pay and keep a lot of the scrub down that would pretty soon turn the place into thick woodland.
