Hi Rik. That would make sense in terms of missing out the (not great) belay and making it a bit more of an all round E2 affair. As it was, I though the 1st pitch very well protected and the 2nd which Andy led, like a sustained HVS. So maybe a little soft for E2 if done as two pitches - still superb though :)

When I led this on sight we came in from the left hand side as the tide was high. The very first move was traversing on wet holds with the sea about 6 feet below waiting to gobble me up. The top pitch was uncleaned and I only had two pieces of wobbly gear before I climbed through the vertical grass at the top without a pre placed rope. It certainly felt E2 at the time.
