Possibly was E3 6a when the peg was new?? Did you climb the line out right where the chalk goes, that's the opposite of what the guide describes.

Yes totally pissed off with the new Borrowdale "guide" book It has destroyed the history of Borrowdale. If you look in the previous Borrowdale guide book 2000 edition the description is correct .. goes right from the peg where the chalk marks are (the crux) as shown in the photo. It is probably E4 as the danger of hitting the deck. When I emailed them and asked why they had changed the description, they emailed back and said" we still gave you the credit for the FA. Hard to believe !! I could go on !!! They left out 500 climbs from the previous Borrowdale Guide.. .. Leaving lots of space for the "guidebook" writers posed pictures. Amen

I am sure the writers did not lead the route, they most likely top roped it and failed trying to go to right .. Who knows..? Maybe they did manage to scrabble up left??.
