Castleton Tower is the most famous of all the desert towers . It is now 14 years after the FA of The 900'Traverse and still no second ascent has been recorded

We were climbing on the Rectory Easter '01 listening to the rat-tat-tat of your drill all day long. Looks like some wild positions - how much of it is mandatory aid. I bet the topping was a challenge too.

Well the most aid in one piece is the Wedster bolt ladder. and then the aid across the West Face (hard free ?). The bolts we put in on the North Face section is for pro.The route is great fun ... have a crack at it.. Cheers
