We had only just started climbing and in the first winter we set off up to do the Snowdon Horseshoe. How presumptuous - I don't even seem to have an ice - axe !
Looking back at those early years there were no tragedies in our group, but the potential was certainly there,

There's always got to be one ill equipped bumbly in every group... I think it's some sort of rule, although I'm not sure why it's necessary. It never works very well when there's only 2.....
