They are indeed. Though usually mown with a crazy offroad handheld mower.

It's a dramatic spot that - it slopes ever so gently up from Col Raiser to Seceda & then it's like reaching the edge of the world.

They are seeded matting to try and introduce vegetation cover as aesthetics and potential stabilisation
