No, I climbed with my girlfriend Elaine and you climbed with Vic. I knew Vic from a climbing wall in Redditch and did a few Yosemite/Tuolumne routes with him that September. I think it was that year that Geraldine got benighted on the East Buttress so we made sure to carry a box of matches with us so we could have a fire, just in case. Didn't need them, obviously! I knew Nipper from Pembroke. I didn't know Martin but I think he did salathe with Pod that year. He later married Geraldine, of course.
