A funny way to check your knots. I normally look at them! looking also helps you to not have your legloops upside down like the lady on the right.

Maybe they are trying to check, from a distance, a knot in the top-rope anchor

Haha, yes my mistake! I'd written the description in a hurry as I had a series of photos taken pre-climb. In this photo they're definitely checking the route beta, not their knots!
