Interesting pic. What temperature was it?

It wasn't too cold :-) This was my first trip to the greater ranges and it was a great learning curve - luckily I was with some great people. We had an ABC at 12,000ft, camp 1 was at 16,000ft, camp 2 was a snowhole at 20,000ft. We decided to bivvy here because we had placed a stash of gear, including tent and food, that got burried (and lost) by heavy snowfall. Hence this pic. The face had been regularly swept by huge avalanches and we spent days watching and picking the safest line (tho still crossing avalanche paths). We quickly learned to sleep during the day and to climb in the night (cos the snow was soft and deep during the day). After we summitted, on our way down we passed 2 Catalonians heading up - they never returned - 1 of their bodies was found, wrapped in a tent the next year :-(
