Non-Brits, familiar with fully-grown cliffs, may be surprised to know that there are three 'routes' and two boulder problems visible in this photo.

Non-Brits, unfamiliar with the anti-grit bias which hovers around some ex-pats, may be interested to know that grit routes come somewhat longer than this "smallest case" scenario, don't come with bolts, and that falling 5m onto hard boulders hurts a lot more than falling 10m into space on good pro.

'Anti-grit'! I like grit. Please refer to my profile; indeed one of my favourite short routes is on North Bimblage too. But a careful sample of foreign climbers I have conducted over the years suggests that grit hype may be running ahead of reality. This photo is a public service announcement for them ....

they are only routes because they`re on southern grit. On northern grit, they`d only be boulder rproblems...
