The south face of the remote Aiguille de L'Eveque, one of the Grandes Jorasses satellites on the Italian side of the MB range. The prominent shoulder of the ridge in the foreground is Pt. 3019 - on the 500m NE wall of this little know peak Tony Penning has opened six different trad lines, the last one in August 2007.
There's now a proposal to rename pt. 3019 "Punta Cresswell", after Peter Cresswell, Tony's longtime companion who died on this peak, and is buried in Courmayeur.
