You'd not normally see this pitch being climbed in daylight - a late start! It shows the climbing at the very start of the route (straight out of the Canzio) where route-finding is critical.

Was it icy for you? When my friend led this when we were up there in Mat 2005, it was covered in verglass... pretty scary in big boots!

Did the entire route in crampons. There were slippery patches of ice, snow and verglas in places the whole way along. Crampon points were well rounded off by the end!
