Then:
I first learned to climb at the Rock UK Summit Centre in Trelewis in 2012. I moved to Cardiff at 18 and tried other sports.
In 2019, I was tired of ordinary gyms so I started going to Boulders. My housemates drove us to some of the outdoor bouldering spots as well- many near home in the Valleys.
i then moved out of Wales aged 25, to Lincoln for a job with Sustrans. There, I became a regular at the YMCA Showroom.

Now
I climb with people from Summit, people from Overhang and the Gwent Mountaineering Club. I am happy to say that I can now outdoor lead. One thing I'm not so good at is remembering which routes I've climbed, so my Logbook isn't the best. Perhaps the most important thing for me is remembering the trip: when was it and who was it with?

I enjoy climbing because I do not spend much time looking at what the pros are doing; for me it's just about competing with my personal best or even my best last week, and the sociable element of meeting others who enjoy climbing.
