Hi M, Although I really enjoyed the video and Rob's good common sense advice, I wouldn't see this as a typical old school trad ascent. I recall old school trad as carrying a full set of cams, 1 to 2 sets of wires, 15 quickdraws, several slings and not knowing any gear or sequences. A better example is Jack Geldard's onsight of Surgical Lust: http://www.ukclimbing.com/videos/play.php?i=85 which unaccountably didn't make the Onsight film despite being one of the best films of onsight hard trad! cheers Graham
Graham, you're right. As he knew the route and the gear, his kit was readily to hand and it was more of a redpoint or whetver the right term is. That film of Surgical Lust is far better and far more trad.
