Between April 22 and May 7 Philippe Gatta and Jean-Marc Wojcik have climbed the Southwest Ridge of Ama Dablam (6 856 m / 22,493 ft). They have been very quick; only 16 days round trip from Kathmandu. They were only two, climbing without Sherpas. They carried out all they gear from / to the base camp and at the end of the expedition they took down all their rubbish leaving nothing in the high camps.
