Meall Gaineimh (NJ 166 051) is positioned to the south of Tomintoul in the mountains of the Cairngorms" say the survey team, who made this short film of their recent trip to the hill.
"It has a 912m spot height on current Ordnance Survey maps, but its summit tor is at least 2m higher than the position of this spot height. It was our intention to accurately survey Meall Gaineimh and ascertain if the high point of the summit tor is over 914.4m / 3,000ft, if so the hill could be considered for Munro Top status."
