The BMC's Mend Our Mountains campaign is raising money through crowd funding for path work on some of Britain's most heavily used hills. Here's the project they're backing in the Lakes, where the popular Brown Tongue path up Scafell Pike gets a hammering from 100,000 pairs of feet annually. Repairing the damage and replacing the erosion scars with pitched paths is not cheap - and it will only get done if people donate.
