Just listening to this - absolutely brilliant topic on the evolutionary changes from organisms in water to organisms capable of leaving the water.  If you've ever wondered about this stuff, or have picked up a fossil at a crag and wondered what that was all about then this is well worth a listen.  Great stuff!

Also LAND SHARKS!

In Our Time is almost always an interesting and informative programme.

Fascinating stuff, even for someone who studied fossils and evolution. Also available as catch up on BBC Sounds of course : )

Yes, brilliant stuff. And only In Our Time would deal with tetrapods one week, and Wilfred Owen the next!

This started on Radio 4 last night just as I was parking up.  Meant to get back on it when I got in the house but got sidetracked...thanks for reminding!

The idea of steamy, humid, equatorial Scotland was quite a mind bender

Haven't had chance to listen to that yet but for anyone interested in similar stuff, Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin is a fascinating read.
