Must have been about 25 years ago, after my back operation, me and my dad drove up from Leigh to Glasgow then Golspie. I had job interviews. He had a fast as f^ck Vectra and I’d just passed my test, at 29. The sound system was brilliant. He played classical, then I played Stereolab. Possibly my favourite music for driving up the A9 in perfect blue winter skies. Pointing out to my dad where I had climbed, had epics and gotten drunk.
