We'll be camping in the area next week. Any advice on family-friendly crags gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks both. Ages 8 & 6. Since we'll be camping at the S end of the lake, we'll certainly be passing that one, so we'll take a look. If there are any more, please feel free to add (I have v limited time to do any research in advance!)...
Thanks again.

I'm sure there is a crag with a Disney sector too

Dunigt is more polished than Stoney. It's where I learnt the word patinee* from a local.

*Complete guess at the spelling

Be wary at the Duingt crag... There's a sign warning you about stone fall from a path above... I experienced stuff coming down last year.

Angon, on the other side of the lake is a small bolted quarry perfect for kids. http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=9104

I think that might be at L'ecole d'escalade de la Culaz, a limestone crag near Le Chinaillon, at the foot of the col de la Colombiere. Lots of Disney-themed short routes at beginner-friendly grades: Jumbo 3b, Donald 3c, Pocahantas 4b, Pluto 4c... Bolt and chain top belays and lots of bolts for runners.

We stayed just over the valley from there three years ago and my (then) 7 year old enjoyed a couple of late afternoon (a bit too much of a sun-trap for earlier on sunny days) visits. Not exactly local for Annecy but maybe good on the way back from Chamonix or as part of a day out.
