Arginonta – Infra-red Wall – DANGER
It is quieter now on Kalymnos, However there are enough people round to warrant posting this warning.
The left-hand side of Infra-Red Wall is currently dangerous, following the storms earlier this week.
1) A very large rock fall has taken place just left of No Mercy and Pornokini. This may have been the result of the very heavy rain or possibly a lightning strike. There are STILL large blocks on the rock face which are probably unstable. The route, No Mercy, may or may not be affected. Extreme caution is needed in this area. DO NOT leave your sacks or stand under this area.
2) It is reported that a lower-off here has been badly damaged,. Apparently, one of the lower-off’s bolts has come off and is hanging loose with a block attached. This may be at the top of the route, Cosmos. Treat with area with care also.
