Ok so not looking like a good weekend for it but can anyone recommend any good camp spots near Keswick?
Pref walking distance to a pub, cheap, not fussed about facilities and prefereably without militant rules and regs...I'm not noisey they just annoy me!
In reply to hereanthere: Hollins farm - grange. Not a huge walk to a number of bars. - Borrowdale is flooded just now though - I've just come back from a moist few days holiday
In reply to hereanthere: Hollows farm has fairly good drainage so if you dont pitch in a dip then you would be OK Castlerigg though is close to a pub 2 mins walk also if you ask nicely at rakefoot farm they may let you pitch up on the fell away from it all for a small fee.
Hollows farm has rubbish drainage, even the sloping field was a river when I went to look a couple of years ago. Remember there is only a thin layer of grass on top of rock.
