I'm off to Corsica with some mates this October. Can anyone tell me what they reckon the best area is to base ourselves for mainly single pitch bolted routes, low to mid grades? I see that there are crags all over the island so want to narrow my choices. Any help really appreciated.
We stopped north of Ajaccio last October which wasn't ideal. Based on our explorations we are stopping near Sulinzara this year to allow us easy access to Bavella and the surrounding areas.
It's tricky, the crags are quite well spread apart and many of the minor roads are very slow driving. Restonica and Bavella are probably the star attractions for low-mid grade single pitch bolted stuff, with several days worth at each. Having easy access to one of those and going elsewhere for a couple of days for variety would probably make sense.
Bavella,
Use the Auberge du Col as your base, ask around for Carlos who will point you at the routes to do

October can be a nice quiet time.
