Just a pipedream at the moment but I'm thinking of a climbing trip in America for a few months. Just after a few suggestions of areas or specific crags you can easily get to with public transport: internal flights, busses, trains, hitching. A few places I'd be interested in getting to are Boulder, Gunks, Joshua Tree, Yosemite. Any idea if it would be possible to reach these without a car?
The 1st time I went to the States had 10 weeks and visited Yosemite, Tuolomne, Boulder, Devil's Tower and Seattle. I hitched/scrounged lifts/Greyhounded everywhere without any problems,
