Back in around about 1975 several climbers local to Southport, Merseyside, developed a small (in height) sandstone quarry, very like a lower Pex Hill. We climbed there for a couple of years until the water board built a large wall across restricting entry from Pinfold Lane. Does anyone climb there now or is it waiting to be found again ( or perhaps it was flooded!)? Would again make a good bouldering venue if access is possible.
