I'm thinkin of buying either one of these two-have heard/read good things bout alpkit however is there a better of the two???The phud sounds great but I'm not sure bout the shoulder strap, would prefer to carry it like a rucksack on longer walk
ins which is why the Ard Woomf sounds better but it is thinner?? Any ideas/tips/hints esp from people who have used these!!!
cheers
In reply to BedRock: Why dont you email them, they usually get back to you pretty quickly (within the same day) failing that one of the guys comes on RT quite often i think so he might tell you in a bit.
In reply to BedRock: My ard woommf rules. absoluttley no probs with it. buy both phud for short walks woomf when you need to walk further. still less than th ecost of one matt from more well known companies
I have a PHUD and it is a good buy. Nice big landing size and foam appears to be lasting well. Does not fit in the back of my clio but my mate has one of those massive metlious mats so we now have a 'mat' car and a 'persons' car if more than two if us go out!
The shoulder strap isnt much of a problem for short walk in's
In reply to BedRock: iv got the PHUD and ill agree with everyone else on that its a brilliant mat, the shoulder strap fine, (used it for some VERY long walk-ins with height gain etc.), only problem for me is my excessive skinnyness and the fact that it wont tighten properly, but this wont be a problem unless you have the same build as me, and very little people do.
