Has anyone used these? Are they worth the extra cost i.e. do they last twice as long? Are they a PITA to sharpen if they need it? Are there any other similar options out there? Looking at them for G20+ crampons and predominantly snowed up rock routes.
All hardened ones are a lot more PITA to sharpen. Especially If compared to the soft Grivel original ones.
as for the price, seem quite spendy. I’d look If Kuznia already has models for G20+. Or Krukonogi armorsteel version. The latter is Most likely harder, thus more robust, than the Grivel Katana or Kuznia. But close to price of Grivels. Kuznias tend to be cheap.
