Does anyone know if the foot bridge at Pooley Mill (about a mile north of Pooley Bridge) is still there after the recent floods? I'm guessing it is, given that I can't find anything saying otherwise, but it's a long way to the next bridge if it's missing!

It will be on this list if its damaged.

In reply to Simon Caldwell:

I am sure I saw a young lady crossing it yesterday as I came away from Ullswater.
In reply to Mike Conlon:

Thanks both.

I wasn't sure whether it would appear on the road closures site, as it's a private bridge (the RoW is through the adjacent ford)

Check this link out for all rights of way furniture (mainly bridges for now) damage - http://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/thingstodo/rowupdates/rights-of-way... - more to be added as the rest of the network gets surveyed.

In reply to DR:

Thanks. The Pooley Mill bridge has no status indication, presumably because it's private. I've been told elsewhere that it's definitely open though
