Hello,
I intend going for a walk on the Glyders at the weekend and was wondering if Crampons etc will be required and if there is a service similar to the Helvelyn one giving up to date underfoot conditions.

Dunno about the Helvellyn thing, but mwis.org.uk is good for forecasts. I was up the north ridge of Tryfan in trainers at the weekend. There is little snow left and the turf is frozen higher up. Any remaining snow pockets are rock hard ice which will catch the unwary. Still freeeeezing here today.
